An evaluation of your dog must be performed to determine whether he / she is suitable for protection training.

Protection training will make for better communication with your canine friend, and you will have a fun working with your dog in a variety of settings.
The best protection dog is a confident, calm dog. We take pride in knowing that our personal protection dogs are some of the friendliest, best-behaved dogs you’ll ever encounter. When we train a dog for protection, we require that the dog always stands its ground and only moves toward the attacker if commanded to. This takes an exceptional amount of confidence on the dog's part, and a dog that’s afraid of an attacker will not perform effectively.
The distinction here is important. While our trainers are experts in aggression management, we can only rehabilitate aggressive pets, not train them as protection dogs, because aggressive tendencies can’t be completely eliminated from a dog's makeup. There’s always the possibility of a relapse, and there’s a good chance that they won’t be able to keep you safe anyway. Dog aggression is often rooted in fear and insecurity. Dogs that bite unpredictably are likely not trying to hurt anyone, but instead are trying to protect themselves and put an end to a stressful situation.
